We would rather publish less and mean it.

2026 is WorkforceConnect’s formal impact measurement baseline. This page explains what we measure, where each number will come from and who is accountable for it — before any number appears.

Baseline year

Our first published figures will cover the 2026 program year

WorkforceConnect has not previously maintained organization-level impact metrics. Rather than reconstruct numbers we cannot substantiate, we are setting 2026 as the baseline and building the measurement discipline first.

The framework

What we are measuring from 2026

Five public measures, each with a single internal source of truth and an accountable owner. Operational measures — event attendance, volunteer hours, donation counts, web analytics — stay internal.

  • Partner organizations engagedActive partner relationships in the period.

Cadence

Internal review quarterly. Public figures refreshed annually with the period stated.

Source of truth

One named internal record per measure. No named source, no publication.

Approval

Verified value, source, period, owner and leadership approval — all five, or it does not render.

How impact will be reported

Reporting will live in one place, once it can be trusted

From the 2026 baseline forward, our verified measures will be reported in a single public place with the period, source and owner attached to each figure. That reporting surface is being built and reviewed separately; until it is verified, nothing is linked from here.

Scholarship history and past work

Some of WorkforceConnect's history is documented and some of it is being verified. We present it as history, clearly labelled, rather than as current activity.

Current / continuing

Cassandra Walker-Nolin Scholarship

A continuing WorkforceConnect scholarship fund for people pursuing construction and skilled-trade careers in the San Diego region. Applications open January 2027; award details and dates will be published before the cycle opens. Recipients were recognized in the 2023 cycle.

Program history and milestones

WorkforceConnect has run career-exposure events, readiness programming and partner-delivered pathway work in the region. We are verifying dates, scale and partner attribution before publishing specifics.
